Meet The Chef

"As a Chef, I love to craft unforgettable dining experiences by blending global flavours and cuisines, thus creating unique dishes that celebrate culinary traditions and flavours from around the world. My mission is to bring people together through food that excites the palate, nurtures the body, and tells a story of diverse cultures."

My Story

Sacha has over two decades of experience under his belt in the hospitality industry, from bars, restaurants and even nightclubs. So, you could say that he is a well-rounded individual when it comes to going out and enjoying a good night out. In fact, his last high school report from his headmaster read “Sacha is and will always be one of the world’s great socializers”

 

After spending many a summer in France where his mother was born, Sacha found his love of food and wine at an early age. In a traditional European family, it would take hours to eat a meal. Dish after dish, course after course. Different colours, flavours and smells would fill the room. He remembers this fondly. “This is what eating is about, sharing time with friends and family. Breaking bread together sharing your day. Life’s ups and downs, laughing, joking and telling stories.”

 

So, it’s no surprise which career choice he made. His experience varies from running a busy and popular pub and restaurant in the north of England to also being involved with the development and help run of one of the best one hundred bars in the world called “MOJO”. They now have many locations, one of which is in Barbados where he had the good fortune to help in the opening. After moving to the United States in 2001 he worked in various restaurants and eventually for the famous restaurateur, Sean Murphy, at his award-winning establishment, “The Beach Bistro” on Anna Marie Island. He went on to help Mr Murphy with the development of his new restaurant chain “Eat Here”. His last venture in Florida was a new restaurant called “Off The Hook Seafood Co” which became one of Sarasota’s go-to places for fresh and exciting seafood.

 

On leaving the USA in 2014 Sacha co-opened the BluWater Bistro in Panama Central America.

 

Now Chef Sacha is in the beautiful Algarve in Portugal and wishes to share his passion for food with you.
